The Weekly Pile Up

Volume 12

July 26, 2019

This week’s must-see race across the Midwest is the ARCA/CRA Super Series at the Baer Field Motorsports Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

This is sure to be an exciting one as we get close to the championship chase for the series with only one more event remaining before the battle for the championship begins in mid-August.

The top six in points currently are leader Josh Brock, Hunter Jack, Jack Dossey III, Greg Van Alst, Logan Runyon, and Johnny VanDoorn. Right behind VanDoorn in the standings is Austin Kunnert who is actually tied with VanDoorn in points. All seven of the drivers are entered for the event this weekend as they get ready to battle for the chance at the championship.

Also entered this week are Florida driver Steve Dorer, Michigan driver Kyle Crump, former NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series Competitor Cody Coughlin, Auburn Indiana driver and Tanner Jack brother of Hunter Jack.

Hunter Jack told TLC Motorsports Marketing earlier this week “I’m super excited for the race at Baer Field Motorsports Park with the CRA Super Series! We have been to Baer Field twice already we won a 50 lap sportsman, and finished 3rd in the JEGS CRA All-stars tour race. So we have some really good notes I feel we just need to do some fine-tuning to get more forward bite and then we should have a really good shot to win! Dave had been doing a fantastic job at Baer Field its really becoming a top-notch facility! It’s just an exciting place to be at!”

The last time the ARCA/CRA super series raced VanDoorn took home an emotional, hard-fought victory over Dossey III in the Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway.

Out of the 17 cars entered this weekend the drivers have a total of 5 races across the Super-Series and the All-Star tour showing that there is no lack of competition this week. With all of that competition, it will be interesting to see if we will have a repeat winner in the series or if another driver will be able to take home a win such as Hunter Jack and lock himself into the Chase with only one more race remaining after this week.
