April 8 & 9

Saturday Practice 3 PM

Autograph Session 6 PM

Racing 7 PM

Tonight is the second race of the Pepper Jack Kennels   Twin 100’s at Five Flags Speedway, Pensacola, Fl.

Each race pays $10,000 to win and at least $750 to start, and additional funding to the top 12 in Southern Super Series points through the Southern Super Stars contingency program.

The driver with the best average finish earns a spot in the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) at the season opener at 5 Flags on June 18 as well as a new pit box from Pepper Jack Kennels.

This early in the season is already shaping up to be more than a race, but also practice sessions for the Snowball Derby, with the drivers still having some feelings from last year’s Derby carrying over into last night’s first race.

Derek Thorn traveled across the country to compete this weekend, showing his commitment to bringing home the elusive win in December. Riding along with him was lingering displeasure with 2021 Snowball Derby winner Chandler Smith. Thron let those feelings of displeasure get the best of him last night as he was black-flagged last night for rough driving with an incident that involved him and Smith.

Southern Super Series points after the first two 2 events of the season are:

1. 1 Bubba Pollard (103 PTS); 2. Jake Garcia (-19 PTS); 3. Stephen Nasse (-19 PTS); 4. Jett Noland (-21 PTS); 5. Hunter Robbins (-31 PTS); 6. Kyle Plott (-33 PTS); 7. Jackson Boone (-43 PTS); 8. Ty Majeski (-48 PTS); 9. Austin Nason (-55 PTS); 10. Daniel Dye (-55 PTS)
